I have been designing professionally for over 20 years, during which time I have helped transform over 100 kitchen and baths, renovated numerous homes, and provided guidance on all aspects of home decoration. My approach to each project always begins with the same theme: listening to the client’s functional and aesthetic goals, budgetary considerations, and pre-existing space and furniture constraints (not many people have the option of starting with a blank slate!).
My success and longevity in this business exists because of my passion for creating beautiful, functional and varied spaces; as well as a cultivated network of long standing relationships with trades people, artisans, vendors, and past clients. In my view successful design is truly a collaboration not only between me and the client, but with the vendors who provide beautiful products, services and inspiration, and the talented tradespeople who execute our vision.
I am inspired by travel, other cultures - exotic people, colors, textures and art. I strive to incorporate these inspirations into my designs, and daily life. I am in love with the myriad of materials, textures, functional elements, and colors that enable us to have so many choices as to how we design a space. Combining these never-ending options with tried and true design principles centered around unity, rhythm, contrast and proportion is the puzzle that I love to solve for each project.
