Entertaining Mecca

Unexpected Contrasts

The kitchen of this whole home rebuild was designed to fall into the outdoor space and be a destination for casual entertaining.  A desire for classic undertones with "fun" elements was the Client's goal.

Guest Bath

Timeless Neutrality

The white palette was created to highlight the beautiful stone floor and textured accent tile.  The goal was to create a main floor bathroom that could be used as a master bathroom if desired.

Pool Bathroom

Spa meets pool play

A colorful zellige accent wall against clean large format tile creating a bright contrast.  An oversized window in the shower results in incredible natural light and brings nature into the pool and sauna bathroom.

Contemporary Tiki

Nod to an Era

In upgrading their original Sixties Marin home, my clients wanted to keep a vintage vibe that demonstrated their playful, eclectic design view.  The Island Stone glass tile was the anchor design element, which we mixed with strong zebra wood custom cabinetry to create horizontal rhythm and liveliness.

Bungalow Kitchen

Modern Tradition

The kitchen is the heart of this quaint bungalow, and we sought to keep the feel traditional, but not ho-hum.  We layered stark contrasts and a stunning splash of tomato red against the white cabinets which helps to achieve the happiness and excitement of the overall design.

Uptown Loft

Urban transformation with a circular twist

We used a circular island design to break up a long rail car feeling space in a commercial-residential space in downtown Oakland.  The natural wood and marble elements against the original brick created a warm layered feel to the final space.
